Mampi Das is a shining example of what initiatives like Lakshya can accomplish. It was tough for her father Manik Das, a Kolkata bus driver, to buy her equipment and ammunition. Aided by Lakshya, Mampi was roped in at 14 by Olympian Gagan Narang’s Pune academy, given a yearly stipend of Rs 3 lakh and the cost of a foreign coach. She shot a perfect 400/ 400 in the 10 m national air rifle trials and is in Munich at present, representing India at the World Cup. She has Lakshya to
