What I personally enjoy about these watches is that I can only define them as being “un- jewellery” like. I don’t think it’s a piece of jewellery, it’s a basic simple watch. It’s like me. I don’t think men should be fun. Men are men. Men are very basic, very simple. Men should not be too fashion conscious. I find the more I’m growing, and the more of the world I see, what makes me proud is that my children are very simple, very basic. For me basic is very simple. You can see the time, and play a little bit with the chronograph which is very useful when I you want to go to outer space, which is very seldom. While I do want to go to outer space, I mostly use it to time my children running. That’s the motto I live by, “Do unto other as they would do unto you.” I’m very courteous, normal and genuine. I say it in the context of an audience. They way I want them to be to me, I be that way to them. I try to be happy, have a great time, and say a few things off the cuff.
Personally to me a Tag watch actually embodies what I am. It’s straightforward, rugged, it’s stylish. You don’t have to change it from formal to informal. It’s a watch, it tells you the time and that’s it. You need not know anything else from your watch. You need not to be able to see your lipstick in your watch. When I sit in a race car and do laps around a track, I like the features, which is also very seldom. It’s not that I don’t a beautiful watch. I gift very beautiful watches to people, but they’re too beautiful for me.
It doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy luxury. My biggest luxury is my Louis Vuitton haversack backpack, they’re very few in the world. I’m finicky about shoes and how they fit, so I wear sneakers. I haven’t found the shop, but I like to wear Pacciotti sneakers. I don’t like formal shoes normally. My friend, Louis Vuitton, makes shoes for me. I met him many years ago and told him how to make shoes for me, so he chooses them and sends them to me. Lots of Dolce & Gabbana white shirts, and hundreds of black suits which all look the same. I don’t know if I’ve evolved, though. I smell better. I don’t miss normal life. I never wanted to be normal. I’m not one of those achievers, movie stars or public figures who moan about not having privacy. I wish to be a movie star all my life. I want to be recognised, I want to be hassled, troubled.
