Model and designer Shilpa Reddy’s creations are reinterpretations of the traditional for the contemporary urban Indian woman. Sharply cut Western silhouettes incorporated into ethnic wear and Indian embellishing on fusion designs mark her signature style. Her creations are displayed in a no fuss section in her exclusive chic boutique on the ground floor at N Asian restaurant. The store is a small quadrangle space with glass and stone walls. Spotlights highlight the outfits, hung on three sides of the store. Jackets are a part of her personal style and you will see quite a variety among her designs too and not just in the Indo- fusion section. Lehengas and saris too have jackets for blouses or they are teamed up with cropped harem pants. Also, part of the collection are her exquisite Thai- inspired Lakme India Fashion Week designs, focused on deli cate flowy fabrics for bridal wear with a striking emphasis on blouses, made with exaggerated upturned shoulders.
