BELATED BIRTHDAY
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh didn’t celebrate his birthday on September 26 as he was on his way to Washington from Frankfurt. So a belated birthday card from the journalists accompanying him was finally handed to him on October 7. Quite unlike his colleague Kumari Selja, Union minister for social justice and empowerment. In New York to represent India at the United Nations Forum on Disability and Development on September 24, she got a call from the Indian ambassador to the UN. Selja was informed that a group of disabled children wanted to meet her. When she said yes, the children entered her room singing Happy Birthday. Sweet.
