For the first time, after he abandoned regional politics in the 1980s, Science and Technology Minister S. Jaipal Reddy is back in business in Hyderabad. He has volunteered to negotiate with the warring groups on either side of the regional divide.“I assure that no injustice will be done to the people of Seemandhra or the region in my lifetime,” Reddy said to mediapersons on October 6. Reddy hopes he will step in once Kiran Kumar Reddy vacates the chief minister’s position.
