Now, Tharoor’s Personal Opinion

Suddenly it is fashionable to have a personal opinion. While inaugurating a national seminar on Right to Information Act ( RTI) in Thiruvananthapuram on October 13, Union Minister Shashi Tharoor said political parties should not be exempted from RTI. It was, of course, his “personal view”.“The more transparent we are, the more we will regain the trust of the electorate. In the case of my own party, within the party, I respectfully disagree,” said Tharoor. Perhaps he is trying to preempt Rahul Gandhi’s next “issue-based intervention”.
