RAHUL’S NO SHOW
Those looking forward to Rahul Gandhi’s rallies in Hamirpur in Bundelkhand and Salempur in eastern Uttar Pradesh will have to wait a little more. The two rallies, scheduled for October 22, have been cancelled, ostensibly because of Karva Chauth, but most probably because Congressmen were nervous of attracting enough crowds. Although Rahul’s speeches in Aligarh and Rampur on October 9 were impressive, just about 20,000 people came. The actual reason could well be Narendra Modi’s rally in Jhansi and the crowds that are anticipated.
