Café Good­ies is one of Bar­oda’s old­est and most loved Parsi cafe­te­rias. With its reach ex­tended to Ahmed­abad, this haunt is get­ting more pa­trons by the day. A well stocked bak­ery and restau­rant of­fer fu­sion sig­na­ture Philadel­phia phirni cheese cake, colour­ful frosty cup­cakes and macroons, stuffed mush­rooms, kad­hai pa­neer and chicken del­i­ca­cies. Typ­i­cal of a Parsi joint, there’s more choice for non-veg­e­tar­i­ans. The menu is pep­pered with dishes like chicken far­chas, pora pao, kheema par indu and bar­beque piz­zas. Akuri on toast is def­i­nitely a great meal opener—tra­di­tional masala scram­bled egg con­coc­tion, which is easy on oil and has just the right amount of spices. How­ever, the hot seller on their menu is the veg Dhansak.
