Into the City

A Touch of Class

It’s unlikely that designated diners in the city and hungry globetrotters haven’t heard of Le Cirque, made popular by it’s vastly successful New York outpost. The restaurant has opened its lavish doors at The Leela, so you can spend all that travel money here for dinner instead, and we guarantee, it’s more than worth your while and wallet. On top of our list of must haves is the Pecorino Cheese Crème Brulee. It’s satin-smooth, with a crunch from the caramelised upper crust. Follow it up with the Smoked Salmon; soft and flavoursome, it’ll melt in your mouth along with the little swirls of cream cheese that accompany it. Wash down your delectable starters with tender sips of Prosecco Wine. For your , opt for a medium well Rossini. It comes with foie gras and would easily count as one of the best steaks youwould consume in the city. As you digest the perfectly prepared protein, take a cursory glance to admire the simplistic wooden interiors at Le Cirque, almost reminiscent of an old world Colonial Mumbai inn. It’s endearing, really. It seems almost criminal to leave without devouring one of Le Cirque’s signature desserts. Choose the Dark Chocolate Fondant. The moist chocolate dish goes resolutely well with the Hazelnut ice cream. All this, if you have the heart to dig your spoon into its picture perfect presentation which is almost artistic. Le Cirque is an experience, both as a place to visit and for the delicious food. And if you do order the steak, don’t miss their steak knives, they are beautiful.
