APRIL 29 Five Congress MPs begin 48-hourlong dharna at Parliament House. OCTOBER 3 Union Cabinet approves proposal for bifurcation, forms a GoM for it. DECEMBER 5 Union Cabinet approves the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation (draft) Bill.

JANUARY 30 State Assembly and Legislative Council reject the bill. FEBRUARY 5 CM N. Kiran Kumar Reddy leads protest against the bill in Delhi. FEBRUARY 6 GoM finalises bill changes. FEBRUARY 13 Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal stuns Lok Sabha with pepper spray when the Government tries to introduce the bill. FEBRUARY 17 Y.S.
