Hippodrome at Hotel Park Plaza Chandigarh recently opened its doors and it is already emerging as the favourite among the city’s party goers. Offering a lounge feel in the afternoon and transforming into a night club in the evening, Hippodrome promises to floor the city residents with its size, food and elaborate security arrangement for women. Hippodrome’s food menu also benefits from Park Plaza, which is known for its delicious spread of various cuisines. General manager, Gaurav Taneja, says, “We did a thorough research before opening Hippodrome. It was important that we understood different aspects of a nightclub well before starting one. Unlike other clubs in the city, many of which have opened up in showrooms, space is not a constraint here. We have one of the best sound systems in the region. Not to mention, the quality of food offered here is great. The guests will love our appetisers and cocktails.” Stressing that elaborate security measures are taken to ascertain the security of women, Taneja says, “That is very high on our priority list. We have more than the usual number of bouncers both inside and outside the club.” Evening for two Rs 1,500 At Park Plaza, Sector 17, Chandigarh
