It’s a valid argument. How can Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa’s freebies really be ‘free’ when, in fact, they are paid for with tax-payers’ money? Even Amma Kudineer, the subsidised bottled mineral water sold for Rs 10, is back on shop shelves minus the Chief Minister’s beatific face on the label.
