YOU HOP, YOU LOSE

Party hopping from the Congress to BJP does not appear to be working out well for ex-minister of state Daggubati Purandeswari who has been trying to retain her Visakhapatnam constituency. Already eyeing the party ticket for the seat is BJP’s Seemandhra unit president Kambhampati Haribabu. With BJP expected to strike a seat-sharing deal with TDP in the truncated Andhra Pradesh, the ticket may go to Ganta Srinivasa Rao, a political heavyweight. That will leave TDP founder N.T. Rama Rao’s daughter out in the cold, unless she opts to move to another constituency.
