WINDS OF CHANGE

-

There was a time when Congress-led UPA would have done anything to woo Bihar Chief Minister Nitish

Kumar. But now, with Congress going into an alliance with Lalu Prasad’s RJD and Nitish with the Third Front, the love has vanished. The Bihar government demanded a regional office of National Investigation Agency (NIA) be set up in Patna on the lines of other states. This was in the wake of the terror attack in Patna in February. When NIA officials took the file to Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, he asked them to keep it on hold. For now, there won’t be an NIA office in Bihar.
