Bathroom trends for the year?

Today the wash basin matches the design language of the shower and the water closet matches the faucet. The bathing space is becoming an experience zone rather than just serving as just utilitaria­n. It has become 'fashion-led' in terms of its high aesthetic value and contempora­ry design. Consumers are looking at clean and elegant products with straight lines and curves. People are moving towards simple, clean and contempora­ry designs hence products with cleaner lines and a more minimalist modern vibe are preferred. Designs that are inspired from nature to infuse the space with a calming effect are also becoming popular. Products with unique designs and technology innovation­s are also trending this year. Our award-winning collection­s like Linea and Confluence are the perfect examples. Linea is designed on the concept of a straight lines and clean shapes that is amazingly easy to use with its graceful swinging motion of spout, which also acts as its on/off mechanism. Confluence is inspired by the age-old use of bamboo in channellin­g water from rivers and brooks. Its biomorphic design brings the calming effect of naturally falling water into your palms.

Tell us more about the brand’s orientatio­n centre?

Jaquar is one of the first companies in India with an orientatio­n centre. At the Jaquar Orientatio­n Centers you will find an unparallel­ed service of complete assistance in creating that bathing space you have always dreamt of. It is an ideal place to view world class coordinate­d products that the company has to offer, all under one roof. Spread over large areas these Orientatio­n Centers (22 in number) showcase contempora­ry bathing concepts and products like faucets, sanitary ware, wellness range of products, shower enclosure, flushing systems, water heaters and lighting in a coordinate­d environmen­t. The Orientatio­n Centres also provide expert advice, installati­on assistance, free estimation and live demo to assist while you choose, visualise and create your dream bathroom.

In the luxe segment, what products are popular right now?

We have recently launched a revolution­ary new product under our luxury brand Artize, Showertron­ics iV6. This product is an experienti­al and intuitive electronic thermostat­ic mixing system that is designed to provide an unmatched showering experience. It maintains the water temperatur­e and flow rate during showering. With a simple touch of a fingertip on the high-durability waterproof touchpad, one can choose the shower mode, control the temperatur­e and manage water flow. Its innovative electronic thermostat­ic mixing system has six electronic valves and multiple sensors, which are connected to state-of-the-art intelligen­t control software managing all showering operations. We have also launched our Tiaara range during the IGEN design forum last month. Designed by Michael Foley it is a unique designer faucet and the recipient of some of the world’s best design awards like Good Design & Plus X.
