Exhibition wrist
Sony Motion Sonic bracelet Showcased at last week’s SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, Sony’s Motion Sonic bracelet lets its wearer manipulate sound with their moves. It contains sensors and microphones that detect arm and leg movements and turn them into sounds. Air guitar motions turn into real guitar sounds and foot stomps are electronic beats, while twisting a wrist can manipulate existing soundtracks. While we like the idea of being “body DJs” for the night, we can’t see Sony’s prototype being a hit on the club scene just yet. sony.com
