Once he ruled the IPL and the Ra­jasthan Cricket As­so­ci­a­tion (RCA), a legacy he hoped to pass on to son Ruchir. Now ex­iled cricket czar Lalit Modi is not so sure. So much so that his loy­al­ists post­poned the April 26 elec­tions to the RCA, fear­ing Ruchir would lose. Es­pe­cially since se­nior Congress leader C.P. Joshi threw his hat in the ring. Worse, chief min­is­ter Va­sund­hara Raje, whose sup­port Modi could once count on, vis­ited Joshi re­cently to ex­press her con­do­lences on his mother’s death. No prizes for guess­ing whose side she’s on.
