Palika Kendra, on Parliament Street, is a soaring concrete structure, and the NCDC building on Khel Gaon Marg is a quirky stepped-pyramid building. Connecting these two, as well as Akbar Hotel and Shri Ram Centre, is Mahendra Raj, a structural engineer who deserves much credit for the design of these structures
