Food Coma
The Junction brings to you pizzeria, wine cellar, the big bakers under one roof
Tired of the cramped, tiny spaces and narrow winding lanes of Hauz Khas Village? Then head to The Junction which is well removed from chaos and noise of this over-populated area. While the alfresco area looks like a promising place to soak in the winter sun, the indoor decor is nondescript and dimly lit. We started off with the Mezze platter, one of most popular dishes. The platter is served on a foot-long tray, with seven Mediterranean dips, pickled vegetables, cheese-stuffed and plain pita bread. Do try the beetroot hummus and the marinated olives. The generously stuffed prawn and chives dimsums were served in a steamer basket. The dips and sauces accompanying the avocado and prawn sushis were bursting with flavours. The thin crust pizzas were made fresh, and we specially recommend the chorizo and bell pepper pizza. The place also has a good selection of drinks. End your meal with light and tangy macarons. The food is a revelation, with more hits than misses and the place holds forth a promise of being a place to unwind over great food and fun conversations.
