Shruti Jaipuria

34, interior designer, maia design, bangalore Shruti Jaipuria used to teach herself design software for fun. Her passion for design made her quit her job as a consultant and enrol into the Parsons School of Design, New York. “There was no looking back. I went on to train with Tony Chi & Associates in New York, local firms in Bangalore, and founded MAIA Design Studio in 2011,” she says.

FACT FILE Over the years she has worked on several bars, popular restaurants and retail spaces such as The Black Rabbit restaurant and Namrata Joshipura boutique as well as high-end residential projects.

TRY THIS “I like one focal point within a space and keeping everything else simple,” says Jaipuria.
