BOOZE DOWN THE RIVER

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar might be all for cleaning the Ganga, but Bihar policemen seem to have other ideas. On May 13, Patna and Vaishali cops allegedly poured more than a thousand litres of liquor seized from the Sukumarpur diara (riverine belt) areas in Vaishali district down the Ganga, a photographer capturing the act on camera. Advocate Manibhushan Pratap Sengar proceeded to file a PIL in the Patna High Court, seeking action against the errant cops.
