Founded in 1984 by Harvard alumnus and former MP from Tamil Nadu, G Viswanathan, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has already made its mark in providing quality education in the field of research, technology and management. “VIT has been to able to create a student-friendly learning environment through its Fully Flexible Credit System (FFCS) that allows students to tailor their own course timetable and choice of professors. Also, to imbibe a sense of responsibility in its students, the institute makes them organise a job mela for non- VIT students and place them in addition to its near 100 per cent placement for its own students,” says G Viswanathan.
