Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay was the second IIT established in India in 1958. Its philosophy is to be the fountainhead of new ideas and of innovators in technology and science. The institute has 15 academic departments, 600 faculty members, 30 centers, five interdisciplinary programme and one management school.
