Es­tab­lished in 2004 by found­ing chair­man of the Hin­dusthan Group, R P Mody, it is a univer­sity ex­clu­sively for girls to en­cour­age ed­u­ca­tion among women. Spread over 265 acres, the in­sti­tute of pro­fes­sional learn­ing is com­mit­ted to women’s ed­u­ca­tion and seeks to im­part knowl­edge and de­velop skills in women to be­come pro­fes­sion­als, well versed in modern tech­nol­ogy and man­age­ment prac­tices. The cam­pus has acres of green­ery and in­spi­ra­tional quotes to mo­ti­vate stu­dents.

The univer­sity of­fers multi-dis­ci­plinary cour­ses with in­ter-dis­ci­plinary op­tions. To cre­ate global stu­dents, it also of­fers for­eign lan­guage cour­ses in Chi­nese, French, Ger­man, Ja­panese and Span­ish. Mody Univer­sity runs re­search projects spon­sored by the govern­ment of In­dia.
