Intense Moves

-

The Parkour workout mimics military style of training; it is the art of navigating effortlessly through obstacles and includes jumping, running, swinging, vaulting and requires a great deal of precision. Six years ago, Abhishek Ghosal, 33, trainer at Delhi Rock, chanced upon Parkour while watching a TV show. “What we refer to as Parkour culture today was started by David Belle and Sebastien Foucan in France around twenty years ago. However, we have seen Jackie Chan and other martial art experts do similar moves since a longer time,” says Ghosal. “The only equipment needed is one’s own body and creativity. Since it is intensely technical, enthusiasts are taught to assess obstacles, the environment and the moves to make better decisions while minimising injuries,” he adds.
