Power of Passion
AN ENTREPRENEUR, TWO TRAVEL ENTHUSIASTS AND A SOCIAL WORKER ON STAYING TRUE TO YOUR CREATIVE SIDE
ON HOW TO ENCOURAGE MILLENNIALS TO DISCUSS, IDEATE AND LEARN 1 If you want to be an entrepreneur, think differently An entrepreneur looks at every problem as an opportunity that needs to be solved. Remember that the bigger the problem, the bigger the opportunity. Look at your lives and think of the difficulties you encounter on a daily basis; do you have concrete ideas to solve any of these problems? When you begin to think like this, it’s the birth of the ‘entrepreneur’ in you. 2 Be true to yourself You might be a success at your workplace, but don’t let that go to your head. Stay grounded. At home, don’t forget who you are. Be true to who and what you want to become and achieve at work. Perfect it till it’s as much a part of you as true self. 3 If money is the driver, you are doomed to fail Passion needs to drive you. Money can be the reward or measure of success, but never the driver. 4 Stick to your vision Believe in yourself, have courage and be versatile enough to change if required. You need to keep three most important ingredients in mind always— hard work, focus and passion—without which nothing can be accomplished in life and in your career, and without which there can be no growth. 5 Execution is the key’ It’s not enough to have a great idea; there are plenty of good ideas that fall by the wayside. To execute well, the more time and detail-oriented your plan is, the better will it be executed.
6 Give importance to the team’
Humility is always preferred over arrogance, nobody likes arrogant people. True leaders are not born; they are created.
