After designing ensembles for Punjabi singers and actors such as Sara Gurpal, Himanshi Khurana and Nimrat Khaira, among others, designer Kiren Sandhu has unveiled Kiren Sandhu Fashion Studion in Mohali's upmarket phase 3. Speaking about the idea behind the store, the young designer says, "I have done designs for quite a few celebrities and I now want young Punjabi women to wear clothes designed by me." Sandhu wants to revive traditional Punjabi suits. “My USP is block printing and hand painting on dresses," says the designer. Her collection includes a variety of palazzos, suits, stoles and gowns. She is now looking forward to reaching out to the entire state and eventually open her store in Canada to cater to the Punjabi community there.
