The disappeara­nce of flora and fauna due to global warming and climate change brings forth the need for human involvemen­t in sectors related to the improvemen­t of life on earth. Working for the betterment of animals is a growing career opportunit­y that has become popular in recent years, and promises a great career for those interested in this sector. STUDY AT The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research in Hyderabad. The institute offers a postgradua­te diploma course in animal protection law for those who want to pursue a career in this field. The course is divided into four main components—animal welfare issues, introducti­on to animal laws and ethics, laws relating to cruelty towards animals and laws relating to wildlife. AFTER THE COURSE Those with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline, or students who have completed three years of their five-year integrated LLB degrees, or engineerin­g students in their final year of graduation, can apply for this programme. After finishing the diploma, students can work with national and internatio­nal animal protection organisati­ons as research associates, policy specialist­s, campaigner­s, wildlife educators, wildlife inspectors, wildlife consultant­s and wildlife economists.
