Co-founded by Iqrup Dhamija and Ritika Dhamija, Iqrup + Ritz was established in 2014 with the vision to create stellar furniture, lighting and fabrics inspired by Iqrup and Ritika’s travel adventures in Europe and India. From antique English sofas and Scandinavian designs to hand glazed ceramic lamps in collaboration with a Beijing-based design firm, Iqrup + Ritz uses wood, brass, metal, glass and marble as their most prominent materials when designing. “We take classic shapes from periods, styles and international influences bringing them up to date for contemporary living,” says Ritika. Their latest designs comprise the use of traditional craftsmanship and hand-building techniques using natural materials such as bamboo and rattan alongside statement veneers and marbles. Another range, titled “Sass,” is inspired by Italian architect and designer Ettore Sottsass and includes coffee tables, side tables, cabinets and shelves carved out of marble with a sleek black finish giving the collection a contemporary look.
