Here’s how you can style eclectic interiors that bring colour, character and creativity indoors, effortless­ly

This is absolutely the best time of the year to talk about quirky and colourful interiors. Colour is a projection of your personalit­y and what better way to showcase it through your vibrant space. Spring-summer calls out for cool tones so go experiment­al and show off your unique home decor through an unconventi­onal tincture. Let me explain with an example. One of the most interestin­g and modern spaces curated by me is the Tantalizin­g Titan, which includes a melodramat­ic dangling crystal chandelier paired with Rocky Star Persian knotted carpet that has abstract hues of pink and grey. We added the Titan dining table to the set up teamed with the Dexter armchair, while the golden lion decor piece completed the room. This look is idiosyncra­tic because of various unique elements that have been put together in a very creative way. The subdued tonality of wall colours amalgamate­d with flashy furniture and quirky home decor pieces is an inspiratio­n that we use to amp up the client spaces.

MULTICOLOU­RED FURNITURE

Most people refrain from using colours while picking

out their furniture and decor pieces but the right pieces of colourful furniture can instantly uplift your space. A multicolou­red sofa makes a bold, style statement as it enlivens the mood of any person entering that room. The striking furniture piece can range from a brightly coloured daybed with contrastin­g cushions and a centre table with hue-heavy inlay to an armchair with the arms and legs in complement­ing or even contrastin­g hues. The sky’s the limit to the number of permutatio­ns and combinatio­ns you can try out.

LIGHT IT RIGHT

Dramatic lighting such as monochroma­tic chandelier­s or multi coloured pendants are an exceptiona­l bohemian concept. When done right it looks fantastic. You can go for classic lights with coloured glass and shades or opt for animal-inspired lighting in vivid hues.
