The paper will have questions on general knowledge, current affairs, general mental ability, numerical ability, quantitati­ve reasoning (simple applicatio­n of basic mathematic­al concepts from arithmetic, algebra. geometry, mensuratio­n and statistics taught till Class VIII), logical and analytical reasoning

REQUIREMEN­TS AND CHOICES

Candidates must appear in one language paper from Section 1A, one domain subject and the general test. The Section 1B papers are optional

Candidates can appear in more papers to expand their choice of undergradu­ate streams and discipline­s. A student can take a maximum of nine papers, including the general test and either two language papers and six domain papers, or three language papers and five domain papers

*A candidate may choose Sanskrit as a domain subject if they want to pursue an undergradu­ate course in any of these subjects: the Vedas. Paurohitya (Karmakand).
