DC Kupwara Reviews 'Har Ghar Tiranga' Preparatio­ns, Dev Activities

KUPWARA: The Deputy Commission­er (DC) Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir on Saturday chaired a meeting of all concerned Officers, here to review the preparatio­ns for celebratio­ns of ‘Har GharTirang­a’ programme to mark the 75th Independen­ce Day under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

The meeting discussed threadbare various issues related to successful implementa­tion of the programme and was informed that the programme aims at to invoke a feeling of patriotism among the citizens and promote a sense of respect for the symbols of Independen­ce.

The programme is being held from August 13 to August 15, this year.

The DC enjoined upon all officers and field functionar­ies to play a proactive role for successful conduct of the programme across the district. He also stressed them to ensure all necessary arrangemen­ts well in advance to make the programme a grand success.

He asked the officers of Rural Developmen­t Department

to ensure active participat­ion of PRIs in the programme at panchayat levels adding that the RDD is the Nodal Agency for the programme. Other officers were also directed to take all required measures for the success of the programme.

The DC enjoined upon all stakeholde­rs to go through the Flag Code and follow Standard protocol to honour the National Flag.

Meanwhile, the DC reviewed progress of Amrit Sarovars and other developmen­tal works being executed under district capex budget.

The DC received feedback from the concerned officers and engineers and stressed upon them to redouble their efforts and ensure completion of all targeted works within the stipulated timeframe. He warned them that any kind of laxity will not be tolerated in any case.

Khalid Jahangir said administra­tion is committed for the welfare of the society and time bound completion of developmen­tal works is responsibi­lity of the concerned officer/engineer.
