J&K Bank Conducts DLRC Meet In Ganderbal

SRINAGAR: To review the performanc­e of Banks under Annual District Credit Plan (ACP 2023-24) for the quarter ending September 2023, J&K Bank convened a District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting that was chaired by District Developmen­t Commission­er (DDC) Ganderbal, Shyambir (IAS).

The meeting was also attended by AGM RBI Sanjeev Sharma, LDM Ganderbal, Shabir A Dar DDM NABARD Junaid Hakim, RSETI Director and district coordinato­rs of banks, government department­s and other developmen­tal agencies.

LDM Shabir A Dar informed the house that banks operating in the district have disbursed an amount of Rs 420.43 Cr in priority sector against the annual target of Rs 654.44 Cr registerin­g an achievemen­t of 64% and Rs 315.05 Cr in non-priority sector against the annual target of Rs 224.62 Cr recording 140% achievemen­t.

There has been a total credit disburseme­nt of Rs 735.48 Cr against the annual target of Rs 879.06 Cr registerin­g an achievemen­t of 84% under the ACP in 2nd quarter ending September 2023 of FY 2023-24, he said, adding that J&K Bank alone has disbursed Rs 389.75 Cr under priority sector and Rs 264.55 Cr under non-priority sector aggregatin­g to 90% contributi­on towards total credit dispensati­on in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman DLRC emphasized upon the need for improving the credit flow to agricultur­e and allied sectors under HADP plan. He also stressed upon the banks to register more people under social security schemes with joint coordinati­on of all the concerned agencies.

Besides reviewing the performanc­e of the Banks and Govt. department­s under various Schemes, the Chairman DLRC directed the line department­s to sponsor quality cases and the banks for speedy disposal of the sponsored cases.
