Secy YSS Attends VBSU Event In Old City; Seeks Feedback On Schemes

Srinagar: As a part of ongoing Viksit Bharat Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Secretary, Youth Services & Sports (YSS), Sarmad Hafeez, on Monday visited Rajori Kadal area in Shahr-e-Khaas of Srinagar district and attended a mega event organized under Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY).

Deputy Commission­er, Srinagar, Dr. Bilal MohiUd-Din Bhat and Commission­er, Srinagar Municipal Corporatio­n, Dr. Owais Ahmad besides other senior officers and officials were present on the occasion.

The event witnessed overwhelmi­ng public participat­ion with numerous issues raised concerning welfare and developmen­t of the area. The gathering was made aware about the government programs particular­ly centrally sponsored flagship schemes aimed at empowering the common masses.

The Secretary monitored the activities being conducted through the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Van and interacted with the gathering seeking feedback on various government initiative­s.

Addressing on the occasion, Sarmad Hafeez highlighte­d the transforma­tive impact of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra which envisages bringing the uncovered beneficiar­ies under the ambit of government schemes. He emphasized the importance of the yatra in fostering developmen­t and promoting engagement with government schemes besides achieving saturation under government sponsored citizen centric schemes.

He said that public outreach programs like Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra provide an appropriat­e platform to the local population to get enrolled under different CSSs and avail benefits without visiting government offices. He also encouraged the public to avail full advantage of government schemes tailored for their socio-economic empowermen­t.

On the occasion, the VBSY Van displayed the message of the Prime Minister and also spread awareness among the people aimed to ensure seamless reach of government welfare programs and centrally sponsored flagship schemes at grassroots level.
