Foundation Stone Of Vishram Sadan Laid At AIIMS Bilaspur

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Jagat Prakash Nadda laid the foundation stone for a Vishram Sadan at All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh,on Friday.

The foundation stone for the POWERGRID Vishram Sadan was laid in presence of Dr. Mansukh L. Mandaviya, Hon’ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Chemical and Fertilizer­s, Anurag Singh Thakur, Union Minister of Informatio­n and Broadcasti­ng of India, and Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India and Jairam Thakur, Leader of Opposition and Former Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh.

R. K. Tyagi, CMD, POWERGRID, Dr. Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel) POWERGRID, Dr. (Prof.) Vir Singh Negi, Executive Director, AIIMS Bilaspur and senior officials from POWERGRID and AIIMS were also present during the ceremony.

POWERGRID is commission­ing projects of approx. 50 crores for AIIMS Bilaspur under its CSR.

The Vishram Sadan at AIIMS Bilaspur will be spread in a 4641.38 sq.m. area., having four storeys, 250 beds and will be built at an estimated project cost of Rs. 26.75 crore. This Vishram Sadan is equipped with all requisite amenities such as waiting hall, cafeteria, fully equipped rooms/ dormitorie­s etc.

This is especially beneficial for patients presenting in emergency are critically sick and need a quick accurate diagnosis.

POWERGRID evolved the concept of ‘Vishram Sadan,’ to provide a comfortabl­e stay to the waiting patients and their attendants. It also alleviates the financial burden of poor patients coming from distant parts of the country to specialize­d hospitals in urban areas. In this journey, POWERGRID is reaching out to the weaker and needy sections of the society by providing facilities of more than 3000 beds across its various Vishram Sadans.

POWERGRID has played an important role in the field of rural developmen­t, education, healthcare, skill developmen­t, environmen­t, drinking water, water conservati­on and sanitation by contributi­ng to economic and social developmen­t across the country with its CSR initiative­s costing about Rs. 1500 crores.
