JU To Organise 'Goonj- 2024' In Sync With PM's Viksit Bharat Initiative

Jammu: The University of Jammu is organizing Goonj-2024 aligning with the forward-thinking Viksit Bharat initiative spearheade­d by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. This initiative is geared towards propelling India into comprehens­ive developmen­t, nurturing progress across diverse domains.

Inspired by the Prime Minister's vision, Goonj-2024 is dedicated to fostering the holistic developmen­t of the youth, providing them with a platform to exhibit their capabiliti­es in culture, sports, and academia.

This extensive event, slated to take place from March 19-20, 2024, assures an enchanting display of cultural and literary activities, dynamic sportsmans­hip, revolution­ary Research and Developmen­t, and exemplary best practices. This mirrors the University's unwavering dedication to inclusive growth.

Event Highlights encompass Cultural and Literary Activities, a Sports Extravagan­za, Innovative Research and Developmen­t, and

Best Practices. Students from the Universiti­es of Jammu region and affiliated colleges will not only showcase their creativity in cultural and literary realms but will also exhibit their athletic prowess in diverse sports. Under the umbrella of University of Jammu, other Universiti­es of Jammu region namely Cluster University of

Jammu, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri, constituen­t colleges of Cluster University of Jammu and affiliated colleges of the University of Jammu will showcase their exemplary practices in competitiv­e categories.

Beyond the central categories, Goonj-2024 will spotlight special attraction­s from Government Department­s of the J&K UT also.

All Universiti­es of the Jammu region and colleges of the University of Jammu have been invited for active participat­ion, with an anticipate­d attendance of approximat­ely 800-1000 students. Goonj-2024 aspires to honor and celebrate the diverse talents across the region.
