Qazigund recorded a minimum of 4.4°C against 4.2°C on the previous night and it was 0.7°C above normal for the gateway town of Kashmir, he said.

Pahalgam recorded a low of 0.7°C against 0.2°C on the previous night and it was 0.3°C above normal for the famous resort in south Kashmir.

Kokernag, also in south Kashmir, recorded a minimum of 6.6°C against 5.8°C on the previous night and it was 3.3°C above normal, the official said.

Kupwara town recorded a low of 3.3°C against 3.9°C on the previous night and it was 0.1°C above normal there, the official said.

Gulmarg recorded a low of 2.8°C against 1.2°C on the previous night and it was above normal by 4.4°C for the famous skiing resort in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Earlier, Saroori along with his supporters reached Kathua from Jammu in a huge cavalcade of vehicles and straight away drove to the DC office to file nomination papers.

Besides, an independen­t candidate Mohd Ali Gujjar filed his nomination papers in the office of the returning officer for the constituen­cy at Kathua, an official spokesman said.

With filing of two nomination­s, the total number of candidates has gone up to seven including Union minister Jitendra Singh who is seeking re-election for the third term.

Congress candidate Choudhary Lal Singh is scheduled to file his nomination papers on the last day for filing of nomination on March 27.

On the other hand, advocate Aamir Massodi contended that there was no bar for the court to release the accused on bail who had been in custody for months together.

He submitted that no notice was served to the accused under Section 41-A CrPC and that investigat­ion of the case is completed and the accused is not required to be kept in custody.

“The charge-sheet against the accused has been filed by the Police Station Cyber Crime, which means that the investigat­ion of the case is complete and the custody of the accused is not required for any personal interrogat­ion,” Forest Magistrate Feroz Ahmad Khan said and granted bail to the accused, Kennedy, subject conditions that the accused will not try to win over or influence the prosecutio­n witnesses in any manner and that he will participat­e in the trial before this court. 2564 incidents of stone-pelting which now is zero.

Shah also asked the youths of J-K to stay away from the conspiraci­es of Pakistan.

“Today Pakistan is shrouded by the scourge of hunger and poverty and even people there see Kashmir as heaven. I want to tell everyone that if anyone can save Kashmir, he is Prime Minister Modi,” he said.

The home minister said the Modi government is boosting the morale of the security forces by giving jobs to the family members of the martyrs.

“Today, not a single martyr’s family is left without a job,” he said.

Officials from SHA assured that the scheme is currently functionin­g normally, and the dispute between the government and the insurance company does not affect its implementa­tion. Empanelled hospitals are aware that the funds are documented for them, though there may be delays due to the ongoing dispute.

While there was a proposal to remove the four common surgeries from the list of free surgeries, it has not been implemente­d yet. Approximat­ely 1500 patients avail themselves of this scheme’s benefits daily in J&K, and these services will continue for patients.

The Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY SEHAT scheme was launched by the Prime Minister of India on December 26, 2020. Over the past four years, thousands of patients have benefited from this scheme.
