INTERNATIONAL CRICKET STADIUM IN LUCKNOW

The UP government is constructing an international cricket stadium, academy and multipurpose sports complex in Lucknow. The Rs 500-crore project which has been accorded top priority by the CM is expected to be completed in three years. Of the 137-acre land near Shaheed Path on Sultanpur Road in state capital earmarked for the project, 71 acres have been set aside for a 50,000 capacity cricket stadium and multi-purpose sports complex, including a multi-activity indoor and an outdoor stadium with world-class infrastructure. Other than this, an administrative block, and a 250-bed hostel, staff quarters, guest rooms under the sports academy will also be constructed. The development work at the proposed site is in full-swing after the layout was cleared.
