RSS presses for tough law on illegal B’deshi immigration

- SIMONTINI BHATTACHARJEE

NEW DELHI: Taking a dig at the recent both internal and cross-border terror activities, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has demanded for more stringent law and asked the Center for a proper verification process to identify illegal immigrants from neighboring country Bangladesh in across the country.

Senior Sangh leader Suryakant Kelkar met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj early this week to discuss the matter. “I have been in touch with the Center since long and Sangh has also raked up the issue earlier,” Kelkar told Millennium Post.

However, the pracharak mentioned that raising “Bharat Mata ki Jai” slogan is not the only solution, but at the same time he also expressed his confidence on the Modi-led NDA government.

“I believe this government will soon introduce stringent law to indentify these illegal immigrants,” he added.

In the last year also RSS demanded sealing of borders to check illegal immigration from the eastern neighbor and claimed that in future, the nation will have to deal with another Jammu & Kashmir like entanglement on the eastern border.

Even more, Sangh claimed that “illegal immigration” has also altered the demography of the country and has compromised national security.
