A GLIMPSE OF OLD KOREA

Korean Cultural Centre, India presents ‘Sarangbang – The room of Leisurely life’, an exhibition which aims to provide deeper understand­ing on the living space of the Joseon Dynasty, while promoting Korean aesthetics and the philosophi­es of classical scholars known as the Seonbi. The Sarangbang was both a place of study for the Seonbi (Confucian scholars) of old Korea, a seting for mastering the old and learning the new as well as a place of education and the fostering of future scholars. Kumar Pradipto, founder of Samarpan Kala Kendra has organised Samarpan Utsav 2016, a dance festival for promoting upcoming talent in the field of classical dance which will include performanc­es by Anuj Mishra and group, Mityalaya - Bharat Natyam and mix, Ishpita Chaterjee, Kumar Pradipto and Falguni Majumdar.
