SP’S Ram Gopal Yadav showers projects on Ghaziabad
GHAZIABAD: The Uttar Pradesh government showered plenty of development projects on the smart city of Ghaziabad. Samajwadi Party National General Secretary and Member of Parliament Ram Gopal Yadav on Wednesday inaugurated a number of projects of the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) worth Rs 1,260 crore.
The SP leader inaugurated 25 under-construction projects costing Rs 576 crore while he also laid foundation stones of 14 new projects which are expected to cost around Rs 683 crore. As many as 12 projects of Hapur-pilkhuwa Development Authority (HPDA) were also inaugurated by him.
The about to complete 25 projects include various infrastructure and housing projects. Among these, some projects are mega like the 3.58 km-long six lane link road between NH-24 and NH-58 with a cost of Rs 176 crore which will benefit the commuters of Noida and Delhi.
A sewer treatment plant with a capacity of 56 MLD in Madhuban Bapudham has also been constructed. For seamless electricity supply, three power sub-stations are built in Madhuban Bapudham and one in Swarnajayanti Puram. Apart from this, multi-level parking facility at Vaishali, 60 km cycle track across the city, widening of roads between Hindon Air Force Station and Delhi border have also been inaugurated.
A number of these projects are already operational and in use. The state government is going all out before the code of conduct set by the Election Commission comes into force. The move is seen as a step taken by the government to highlight its achievements before the Assembly polls are announced.
The foundation stone was laid for 14 projects that will include two flyovers in Vasundhara, Raj Nagar Extension and Hapur Chungi, road widening near Hindon Air base, Bunkar Mart for weavers at Madhuban Bapudham and construction of housing under Samajwadi Avas Yojna scheme. The projects are expected to cost around Rs 683 crore. On this occasion, the SP leader pointed out at the BJP government and said that it is impossible to adopt digital payment options in a single go as a very less percentage of population has access to Internet. Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants spontaneity from the people which is impossible, said Yadav. He further claimed that the labour and the lower-middle-class have been retrenched from various factories following demonetisation of old currency notes.
Ram Gopal Verma also termed CM Akhilesh Yadav as the future of the country and claimed that the state has widely developed during the Samajwadi government’s tenure and said that the people of the state are in favour of Akhilesh Yadav and “we will surely built our government for the next time as well.”
