NEW DELHI: Often the most heinous crimes are a result of passionate love or extreme hatred. The Kashmere Gate twin murder of the businessmen brothers was no exception.

The cops revealed that the murderer was a trusted employee of the victims. He committed the murder since he nurtured immense hatred against his employers for allegedly misbehaving with female employees of the company. Sources in police say that the accused was in a relationship with the girl.

When the media clicked the accused Rajender’s photographs he showed no signs of remorse or repentance. He did not hold his head down instead faced the cameras.

The two businessmen brothers who dealt in automobile spare parts were found brutally murdered on Saturday evening in their office’s second floor. Their throats were slit with a sharp-edged weapon and one of the dead bodies even had an iron nail pierced into his head.

“The brutality involved in the murder and no valuables missing made us suspicious that the intention of the murder was personal and no robbery was intended, so we were sure, it was an insider’s job,” said DCP (North) Jatin Narwal.

The cops soon found two of the four servants missing. However, on interrogation of the servants, it was revealed that one Rajender, alias Sonu Mistry, had sent them to get some refreshments from the market as the owners were expecting some guests. When the servants returned, they found the office locked.

“After we caught Rajender, initially he tried to mislead us but soon confessed to his crime. He admitted he was holding grudge against his employers for months and had also bought a chopper for the murder days before the incident,” said the officer.

Sources say that the deceased brothers’ behaviour with a female employee infuriated Rajender when the girl confided in him her ordeal. According to the accused, the employers exploited the girl.

Cops say, that on Saturday, Rajender who worked with the Manchanda brothers for 12 years, consumed alcohol and called the younger brother Rajkumar Manchanda to the second floor on the pretext of showing the material packing. He then attacked him with the chopper 12 times until he died. Later, he called the elder brother and murdered him too.

It was also learnt that Rajender gave his blood-stained shirt to the dry cleaner and retuned to the crime spot. He confidently managed the crowd gathered outside the office to mislead the police.
