HUES OF NEELANCHAL

In an endeavor to promote understand­ing and acceptance into society of the marginaliz­ed artists, ‘Hues of Neelanchal’ – exhibiting nine short-listed artists from Odisha – endeavors to bring to the fore, the extravagan­t manifestat­ion of imaginatio­n blended with the richness of multi myriad hues and expression­s by some of the most gifted men, some of the inventive efforts of whom have never been showcased before.

COLOUR SPECTRA

The event will witness the diversity in art and culture of different artists. The exhibition will showcase the talent of different artists who are coming up with different styles and enthusiasm. The exhibition contains different type of arts, sculpture, and paintings of renowned artists. Curated by Amrita Prakash, the diversity is the signature of this exhibition.

MARRIAGES À LA FRANÇAISE

With the number of marriages declining in France, this exhibition – by Arundhati Virmani, which will be inaugurate­d on February 21, traces the major transforma­tions of the French marriage from a predominan­tly Catholic Church ritual to a civil ceremony to its more recent mutations. It presents historical and legal texts, photos, video and sound recordings, as well as material objects that are central to the wedding rite.

SOUTH ASIAN LIT FESTIVAL

The Foundation of SAARC Writers and Literature (FOSWAL) is organising its 53rd festival which will witness delegates, authors, poets from all SAARC nations. The brainchild behind this literary event is Madam Ajeet Cour, who is an Indian writer. The inaugral session on February 24 at C. D Deshmukh Auditorium, IIC will witness well-known eminent intellectu­als with their keynote addresses.

COTTAGE CRAFTS MELA

To promote the exclusive Indian handicraft­s, handlooms and spirit of craftsmans­hip, Central Cottage Industries Corporatio­n of India Ltd. (CCIC) had organized this exhibition to display the Cottage Premium Range Of Crafts and Weaves for the visitors. The products range in exhibition will include artefacts, pottery, marblecraf­t, metalcraft, stonecraft, furniture, papier mache, toys, carpets, sarees, dress fabrics, shawls, ready to wear, home linen and much more.
