NTPC POWER GENERATION UP BY 4.67%

NEW DELHI: Delivering strong performanc­e on operationa­l front, NTPC Group has registered 4.67 per cent growth in power generation in the current financial year. Four coal stations of NTPC are ranked among the top 5 performing stations in the country in terms of PLF for the 10 month (till Feb 2017) period.

Talcher Thermal, Sipat , Korba and Singrauli with PLF of 92.05 per ent 90.12 per cent, 87.9 per cent and 86.36 per cent respective­ly are ranked 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the country. Seven NTPC coal stations are among the top 10 performing stations of the country in terms of PLF.

In February 2017, Korba Stage II and Sipat Stage II achieved more than 100 per cent PLF.

On 25th and 26th February, four commercial stages of NTPC stations achieved more than 100 per cent PLF on each day and out of 35 commercial stages of coal stations 17 and 14 stages achieved more than 90 per cent PLF respective­ly during the period.

NTPC has total installed capacity of 48143 MW from its 19 coal based, 7 gas based, 10 solar PV, one Hydro and 9 Subsidiari­es / Joint Venture power stations. The company has capacity of over 23,000 MW under implementa­tion at 23 locations across the country including 4300 MW being undertaken by joint venture and subsidiary companies.

NTPC’S First coal mine Pakri-barwadih at Hazaribagh became operationa­l in December 2016.
