SIX MEN WHO ROBBED MAN AT GUNPOINT HELD

NEW DELHI: In a case of robbery, the Delhi Police have arrested six members of a gang who robbed a person of Rs 25 lakh on gunpoint in North East Delhi’s Maujpur area. Following the robbery, one member of the gang was nabbed by the public and handed over to the cops. Later, other members of the gang were arrested. The accused have been identified as Nadeem, Yusuf, Jitender, Naved, Sabab and Najeeb. One country-made pistol, a stolen motorcycle, a bag containing Rs 16 lakh, a calculator and one PAN card were recovered from their possession. On March 12 the complainan­t, Vipul Jain reported that the incident took place around 8:30 pm when he was on his way to Maujpur. When he reached Kumar Sarees, three people armed with country-made pistols on a white Apache Motor Cycle pointed a gun towards him and took his belongings. While fleeing the scene, the public chased them down. Nadeem was apprehende­d by the public. Later, during the interrogat­ion, Nadeem let out his associate’s hideouts after which the cops arrested the rest on Saturday night from Maujpur.
