- RAHUL SINGH

GREATER NOIDA: The homebuyers of Greater Noida West have demanded the intervention of Government related to the issue of house possession in the city. Also, they have insisted the government to initiate stringent actions against the builders and officials of Noida and Greater Noida Industrial Developmental Authorities (GNIDA).

In a letter written to the new CM Yogi Adityanath, the homebuyers insisted that the government should pass an order for CAG (Comptroller and Auditor-general of India) audit of the Greater Noida Authority to verify the alleged irregularities in the office and CBI enquiry of the officials who benefited builders. A copy of the letter was also given to Pankaj Singh, the local MLA.

Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association (NEFOWA), an association of homebuyers of Greater Noida West has been involved in constant feud over the rights of homebuyers of Noida and Greater Noida.

The association in a letter to Adityanath Yogi highlighting the problems faced by homebuyers of Greater Noida West for many years and how they have been harassed by both builder and authority.

The letter insists that the government pass an order for CAG (Comptroller and Auditor-general of India) audit of the Greater Noida Authority to verify the alleged irregularities in the office. The government should also instruct the builders to speed up construction of housing complexes to curb the delay. Also, they should also be ordered to compensate homebuyers for delay in possessions.

Indrish Gupta, Founder, NEFOMA told Millennium Post , “Since the past many years, homebuyers of Greater Noida West are being harassed by the builder. Even some officials of the authority also illegally benefitted them. We want the newly elected government to conduct CAG audit in Noida and Greater Noida authorities as it was also mentioned by Prime Minister Modi during their election campaigns in Ghaziabad. We demand actions to be taken against those officers who are involved in the alleged irregularities and did not maintain transparency in allotting plots to private builders. Apart from this we demand the government to implement Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) without diluting it”.
