SISODIA SEEKS PARTICIPATION OF INDUSTRY IN DESIGNING CURRICULUM
NEW DELHI: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday sought industry's participation in designing curriculum in government-run training centres as per the market's needs. Speaking at the Annual Regional Meeting of CII Northern Region on 'Building a Competitive North', Sisodia said that the curriculum should be made relevant for students. "I suggest industry come forward and interact with the government-run training centres to convey their skill requirements so as to fulfil the needs of the industry," the Deputy Chief Minister said. He said a focus on skill development would go a long way in bringing about a positive change. Talking about his government's budget, Sisodia said that Delhi government has reduced VAT on air fuel to 1 percent from the existing 25 percent.
