SISODIA SEEKS PARTICIPAT­ION OF INDUSTRY IN DESIGNING CURRICULUM

NEW DELHI: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday sought industry's participat­ion in designing curriculum in government-run training centres as per the market's needs. Speaking at the Annual Regional Meeting of CII Northern Region on 'Building a Competitiv­e North', Sisodia said that the curriculum should be made relevant for students. "I suggest industry come forward and interact with the government-run training centres to convey their skill requiremen­ts so as to fulfil the needs of the industry," the Deputy Chief Minister said. He said a focus on skill developmen­t would go a long way in bringing about a positive change. Talking about his government's budget, Sisodia said that Delhi government has reduced VAT on air fuel to 1 percent from the existing 25 percent.
