MISHRA LODGES 3 PLAINTS WITH CBI

- ROUSHAN ALI

NEW DELHI: Sacked Delhi minister Kapil Mishra on Tuesday filed three complaints with the CBI against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, minister Satyendar Jain and AAP leaders who allegedly misused party funds on foreign trips.

The Karawal Nagar MLA, who was on Monday suspended from primary membership of the AAP, also threatened to launch a hunger strike on Wednesday if details of foreign visits by five AAP leaders are not made public by the party. Mishra, who carried three sealed envelops that he called "evidences", has accused the top AAP leadership of using illegal funds and questioned the foreign tours by AAP leaders.

“I will file three complaints. The first against Arvind Kejriwal for involving in corruption. The second against Satyendar Jain for the illegal land deal, and third against five AAP leaders who misused funds for foreign trips,” Mishra told reporters. “I will sit on a hunger strike if they do not reveal details of their foreign trips,” Mishra said. He alleged that there had been “illegal funding” during the Punjab elections and that tickets were being “sold” by the party during the MCD elections.

“Raghav Chadha, Ashish Khetan, Sanjay Singh, Satyendar Jain and Durgesh Pathak all went on foreign tours, the details of which should be revealed. Sanjay Singh even did some illegal dealings in Russia,” Mishra alleged.

Earlier in the morning, Mishra wrote an open letter to Kejriwal challenging him to a poll battle.

Sacked Delhi minister Mishra will record a “detailed” statement with regard to the Rs 400-crore tanker scam in the Delhi Jal Board with the Anti-corruption Branch on Thursday.

ACB chief Mukesh Kumar Meena confirmed the development.

Mishra will go to the ACB office around noon on May 11 to record his statement.

The former Delhi water minister had on Monday submitted evidence to the ACB to back his allegation that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his “two men” had influenced and delayed the probe into the scam which dates back to Sheila Dikshit's tenure as CM.

Mishra also accused the party of diverting attention from the real issues by holding a demonstration on EVM tampering in the assembly.
