Ggn cops arrest six involved in car theft

GURUGRAM: The crime branch of Gurugram police has caught six criminals who were involved in four separate incidents of vehicle theft in the city on Thursday.

The police team has recovered one Bolero, three motorcycle­s and a sum of Rs 10,000 from the criminals.

In the first incident, the cops nabbed two criminals identified as Shahrukh (23 ) and Farman (21) who were allegedly involved in the vehicle theft incident at Sector 29 area on April 22. During interrogat­ion, the duo confessed they were also involved in five other incidents of car thefts.

In the second incident, a certain 21-year-old Zakir was arrested from Sheetla Mata road on 14 May. He confessed that he was involved in the vehicle theft case registered on January 13.

In the third incident, the cops arrested 30-year-old Yusuf from Rajendra Park area who was involved in the vehicle theft incidents from old Gurugram area.

In the last case, two criminals identified as Saleem and Majlees both 26-year -old were arrested from Sohna. The duo confessed that they were involved in the three incidents of vehicle theft around the region of Sohna. Three motorcycle­s and Bolero were recovered from the duo.

Based on a data there have already been 400 cases of vehicle thefts registered in Gurugram till March 2017. More than 3800 cases of the same were registered in Gurugram in 2016. In 2015, the number was more than 3000.
