MAN SHOOTS SELF AFTER TIFF WITH WIFE
NEW DELHI: A man who had a history of criminal records and was earlier booked on charges of attempt to murder and robbery committed suicide on Wednesday morning in Geeta Colony in Shahdra district.
It is learnt that the man was having some argument with his wife and it is then when he shot himself dead with a pistol.
The cops have initiated a probe under 174 CRPC and are investigating how he procured a pistol.
The man who is identified as Haseen shot himself dead after he allegedly got into an altercation with his wife over some Whatsapp conversation.
“The husband and wife had a fight a night before too. The cops are verifying the cause of the incident and what proved to be the last provocation,” said sources.
When the police reached the spot a pistol was seen lying next to him.
Haseen committed suicide in front of his wife and children.
“We have initiated the proceedings under 174 CRPC and have lodged an FIR under ARMS Act.
Further inquiry is on,” said DCP Shahdara Nupur Prasad. On further inquiry into the matter, the police said that the deceased man has quite a few criminal cases against him.
Sources in police said that he was booked in 2013 for a case of attempt to murder in Geeta Colony itself.
Later in 2015, he was booked for robbery in Preet Vihar police station.
The cops said that they are looking into every aspect of the suicide. The body has been sent for the postmortem.
